What is LinkedIn?
LinkedIn is an online network of more than 11 million experienced professionals from around the world, representing 150 industries. When you join, you create a profile that summarizes your professional accomplishments. Your profile helps you find, and be found by, former colleagues, clients and partners. You can add more connections by inviting trusted contacts to join LinkedIn and connect to you. Your network consists of your connections, your connections’ connections, and the people they know, linking you to thousands of qualified professionals.
What is a LinkedIn Group?
Joining the group will give you instant access to other members of the group, without having to go through other LinkedIn members to connect, like you do as an individual member.
How to Join
Go to the AMA Houston Group Invitation Page at LinkedIn. If you do not already have a LinkedIn account, you will be prompted to set one up.
Please note that when you join, you will go into a "pending status." You will be moved from pending to active within one to two weeks, after we've verified your membership status. Your membership will be manually approved by an AMA Houston volunteer.

What is Facebook?
Facebook is a social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them. People use Facebook to keep up with friends, upload an unlimited number of photos, share links and videos, and learn more about the people they meet.
Anyone can join Facebook
All that's needed to join Facebook is a valid email address. To connect with coworkers or classmates, use your school or work email address to register. Once you register, join a regional network to connect with the people in your area.
What is a Facebook Group?
A Facebook group is a way to belong to a virtual community around a common interest.
How to Join
Go to the AMA Houston Facebook Group page. On the right hand side, under the AMA logo, click "Join this Group" If you do not already have a Facebook account, you will be prompted to set one up. There is no waiting time to join, and in the spirit of Facebook, everyone is invited.
