Headquartered in Houston near Kirby and West Alabama, the Legacy Funeral Group is currently seeking to hire a talented Account Service/Traffic Manager to join our in-house marketing and advertising team. In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Marketing and Advertising and your work will make a difference in people’s lives.  It will stretch across all our brands and be seen by thousands of customers.  You will have a lot of autonomy in your role with support always nearby to guide and steer and lend a helping hand.

This is a hybrid role that combines excellent communication and organizational skills. You will be responsible for communicating with our customers to bring jobs into the agency as well as communicating inside the agency to ensure jobs flow through to on time completion.

On the Agency Account Management side, you will serve as one of the primary points of agency contact for our clients.  Your job is to communicate with clients with diplomacy, answer questions, and fill in the blanks for the agency for what the client is seeking.  However, you are not simply an order taker. The brands we work with are not marketing people. They need guidance and marketing education and our role is also to recommend how we can help them move their brand forward.

On the Traffic Manager side, you ensure that all marketing collateral and work from account services flows efficiently to creative and production departments. You are responsible for keeping everyone on task and projects on deadline, handling the logistics and keeping all parties updated on the progress. The end goal is to make sure the project goes smoothly and both the client who requested the project and the professionals who did the work are satisfied with the end result. Once a job and deliverables have been approved, you will work with outside media parties (primarily newspapers and radio stations) to get the creative placed in the appropriate media channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Picking up the phone without knowing who is on the other side

Serve as a primary point of contact between our clients and the agency

Manage calls with Regional Managers (operations) to collaborate on marketing needs

Create schedules and set deadlines for various stages of a project

Distribute assignments to creative teams and other departments

Work with clients to learn more about new project details and give progress updates on existing projects, communicating any updates

Monitor projects and workloads, adjusting assignments and deadlines accordingly

Maintain job files

Distribute finished creative files to the appropriate media channel

Establish and maintain media relationships with media partners in various markets

Ensure project flows to accounting to make sure the agency maintains timely billing

REQUIREMENTS:

Able to balance between the client, account service and the creative department

Always courteous and profession in manners

Ability to represent the agency on client conference calls and/or client meetings

Teamwork and collaboration combined with the ability to multitask and organize

Ability to effectively communicate requests and assignments from clients to agency team

Ability to juggle an assortment of deliverables from clients with competing deadlines and limited resources

Keen listener and note taker who can convert this into decision-making and prioritization

Organizational skills to schedule, monitor and adjust deadlines and resources as needed

Time-management, an eye for detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to keep calm under pressure

Willingness and ability to work more than 40 per week when workload necessitates

Bachelors or Associate degree (or equivalent work experience)

Previous experience with an advertising agency is preferred

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including MS Teams)

Work references

Knowledge of Function Point Agency Project Management Software is preferred but can be learned

Able to travel occasionally to visit clients and learn more about the business from our clients’ perspective
