We are currently seeking to hire creative, organized, team player to serve as an Advancement Associate. In this role, you will be an important member of the Advancement Team and report directly to the Director of Admission and the Director of Communication and Marketing. We are looking for a warm, engaging individual, who enjoys interacting with prospective and current families. Often the first point of contact within the office, the Advancement Associate will support a timely, personal, friendly, responsive, helpful, and efficient admission processes, while also helping tell the story of St. Mark’s Episcopal School through visual and written content.


Lead campus tours and guide prospective parents through the admission application process.

Track and respond to inquiries with appropriate mailings, electronic communication, and follow-up calls.

Work with the Director of Admission to coordinate all prospective family campus events.

Responsible for all aspects of database management that support the admission process including scheduling, updating applicant files, maintaining accurate data and information, and creating statistical reports for the Director of Admission.

Manage application records in accord with all critical deadlines including application review and admission committee meetings.

Provide daily technical, logistical, and administrative support including general communications, managing office calendars, scheduling meetings, reporting data, submitting receipts to business office, and maintaining positive professional relationships with various departments and constituencies in a manner that promotes institutional cohesion.

Work in concert with school leadership and faculty to coordinate, organize, and manage communications and logistics of student visits and parent interviews for each division.

Work with facilities coordinator to finalize event set-ups and to coordinate admissions events and calendar with all the all-school calendar.

Photograph events on campus throughout the week, editing photos when necessary and preparing them for sharing in a timely manner

Help manage the school’s expanding video efforts – including, as needed, shooting and editing videos.

Work closely with the Director of Communication and Marketing to produce a wide variety of annual communication elements, including: magazines, event related materials, invitations, e-newsletters, website stories and graphics, marketing/PR materials, and other social media content.

Assist with the building and maintaining of school social media platforms, including the St. Mark’s website, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Help proofread and revise communications.

Assist the Director of Communication and Marketing with identifying, developing, and executing the broad communication strategy for internal/external communications and media contacts.

Help develop fresh story ideas for both web content and the Making Our Mark magazine.


Bachelor’s Degree

Photography experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Google Office Suite

Able to present information diplomatically and effectively, both verbally and in writing

Ability to organize and prioritize work in a dynamic, busy environment

Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Experience in an administrative position, non-profit, or education is preferred

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
