(Needed for the Baytown, Beaumont and Houston/East End/Northline areas)

Legacy Community Health has been providing the greater Houston area with comprehensive, quality health care services and programs for almost 40 years. As part of our mission to drive healthy change in our communities, Legacy believes that health care is a right. As the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Southeast Texas, our services and programs are open to all, regardless of the ability to pay, without judgment or exception.

Our ongoing investment in the communities we serve is about increasing access to care, while pursuing a business model that keeps costs down. FQHCs save the U.S. health care system $24 billion annually by promoting good health and keeping people out of costly emergency rooms for things like an earache or cold. We accept most health insurance plans including HMO/PPOs, Medicaid, Medicare and CHIP. We also offer programs to lower the cost of health care services.

In the last two years, we've added four new clinics and two state-of-the-art pharmacies, bringing our total number of locations to 34, to meet the growing demand for care. A United Way-affiliated agency, we currently provide: Adult Primary Care, Behavioral Health, Dental, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, HIV/STD Testing, Prevention and Treatment, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Pharmacy, School Based Health Care (20 clinics in KIPP and Yes Prep schools), Social Services, Transgender Specialty Care, Vaccinations, Vision and Wellness/Nutrition.
