We are currently seeking to hire a Director, Events Marketing. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, marketing plan development, and marketing execution oversight for all Hart Energy events. You will have proven experience leading multi-channel marketing initiatives that drive awareness, demand generation, and sales conversions through marketing automation and email (Marketo preferred), social media, digital advertising, CRM systems (Hubspot preferred), and other lead generating technologies. Conference or event specific experience is a plus. In addition, you will be a strategic thinker, nimble problem solver, and a person that possesses a well-rounded digital marketing skillset. The selected candidate will report to the Vice President of Marketing and work with the internal Events, Sales, and Marketing Execution teams and possibly outside vendors to coordinate and execute marketing for Hart Energy events.
Develop and execute integrated awareness and demand generation programs across multiple outbound and inbound channels including: email, content marketing, search and social advertising, PPC, etc.
Manage execution of event campaigns leveraging internal resources for email, social, and other digital marketing channels
Leverage marketing automation tools, CRM, and data analysis to bring scale to demand generation and conversion programs
Measure and analyze data to report on campaign performance and to quickly respond to data for continual performance improvement
Collaborate with sales team to build programs that support sales enablement and pipeline growth
Optimize the lead-to-customer conversion rate throughout all marketing touch-points
Ensures marketing design meets or exceeds industry standards
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or relevant concentration (master’s degree is a plus)
Ten or more years marketing experience with 3-4 years hands-on B2B experience in inbound and demand generation (lead generation and nurturing, campaigns execution and measurement) preferably in energy, media/publishing, events, or industrial markets
Experience with multi-channel marketing including but not limited to: email marketing, website marketing, PPC, SEO, retargeting, social marketing
Data analysis skills, with the ability to extract and interpret data from various sources to develop creative solutions and business decisions
Strong written and verbal communication skills including copywriting
Experience with list building, management, cleansing, de-duplication, and segmentation
Intermediate-Advanced spreadsheet capabilities including functions, pivot tables, and lookups
Demonstrated creativity, bringing new ideas to the table (essential to success in this role)
Strong collaboration skills; able to develop and maintain effective relationships with peers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
Marketo Certified Expert is highly preferred
Hubspot certification is a plus
Google Ads and Analytics certified is a plus
Basic HTML and CSS skills is a plus
