We are currently seeking to hire a Manager, Strategic Marketing to join our team in Kingwood. In this role, you will be responsible for the vision, strategic development, and ongoing management of Insperity’s strategic marketing initiatives, including oversight of a team of marketing strategists focused on brand awareness, competitive insights and sales engagement initiatives in support of Insperity corporate brand and sales engagement efforts. You will also be charged with developing and monitoring Insperity’s national advertising and sponsorship programs/campaigns to achieve the stated business goals and objectives of the Growth division and the overall organization. The selected candidate will ensure that proactive brand, advertising and sponsorship programs are being properly executed by working closely with various cross-functional teams, senior leadership and external service providers to standardize and scale the company’s strategic brand initiatives.


Sets direction and effectively manages the brand strategy for the corporate Marketing and Business Development organization, planning activities in alignment with business goals and objectives and maintains stewardship over the health of the Insperity brand

Leads and develops a highly functional team of strategic marketing managers, establishing clear performance standards for staff development, training, policies and procedures within the marketing strategy team

Leads the planning and oversight of marketing and communications initiatives including new office and new market opening programs, national sponsorship strategy development, brand health initiatives and other special projects along with other organizational stakeholders

Manages all required resources, budgets and timelines, equipping the Marketing Operations teams for optimal success

Leads the enterprise-wide focus on competitive insights by gathering representatives from each of the organization’s main functional areas for the purpose of developing and maintaining a current view of Insperity’s competitive positioning in the marketplace

Communicates regularly with executive leadership and board of directors to provide updates on brand positioning, competitive leverage points and overall strategic marketing insights

Monitors, reviews, and reports on key performance indicators for marketing efforts, and recommends changes and/or enhancements to improve results

Works closely with Marketing and Business Development management, to establish demand for strategic resources and facilitates prioritization in alignment with defined strategies and campaigns

Develops highly productive, long-term relationships with business partners and is thoroughly familiar with the organization’s scope of services and business objectives

Builds a matrix relationship plan within the each department and proactively ensures that key relationships are being addressed and strengthened

Uses tools, systems and processes to plan, forecast and market business intelligence

Translates overall company objectives and strategies into action across respective accounts


Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field such as Marketing, Mass Communication, Business, Finance or Accounting is required.  An MBA Degree is preferred

Ten to twelve years of related business experience is required, and five years of management responsibility is strongly preferred

Proven experience and strong track record in account management, sales or business development

Experienced with leading a cross-functional marketing team, with emphasis on collaboration and strategic thinking

Possesses the ability to initiate conceptual ideas or visions and then develop systems, processes and plans that are executable, realistic and results-oriented

Proven experience and success building relationships with all levels within organizations

Proven track record of building client satisfaction and loyalty through business relationship building and measurable service results

Strong strategic and analytical skills

Effective problem solving, decision-making and conflict resolution abilities

Project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs and demonstrated ability to learn other computer applications as needed

Communicates tactfully and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and maintains effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment
