Total Specialties USA, Inc. is headquartered in Houston and is a subsidiary of Total, S.A., the fourth largest publicly traded oil company in the world. We are currently seeking a Marketing and Pricing Intern to work within our Marketing and our Pricing groups. In this temporary role, you will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of TOTAL marketing communications activities. This includes assisting with and contributing to brand promotion programs, event management for trade shows, conferences and distributor meetings. In addition, you will assist with development and coordination of press releases and advertising as well as web activities. The selected candidate will also assist with pricing initiatives.


Assist with optimization of TOTAL Lubricants’ CRM (Salesforce) to ensure accurate information

Assist with administrative tradeshow and event registration, lodging, registrations, etc.

Assist with planning and organizing event(s) as directed

Proofreading and assisting with drafting of sales collateral, website verbiage, advertisements

Update TSUSA calendar as required to ensure up-to-date representation of corporate marketing activities: TOTAL Specialties trade show presence, Distributor events, Sales events, etc.

Assist with various ad hoc projects and reporting as required by TSUSA Marketing and Pricing groups

Assist with various social media and marketing initiatives

Assist with various pricing projects, including but not limited to:

Conduct research in the automotive, heavy-duty, industrial, metal-working and food-grade industries for lubricants sales, pricing, and margin

Manipulate large amounts of data for ultimate use in developing Marketing programs

Prepare reports on a weekly basis and provide status updates

Contact clients and potential clients for various information

Engage in database research


Pursuing or have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college, preferably in marketing

Lubricants experience is preferred.

Well organized with strong interest in learning pricing, marketing and promotional techniques

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and familiar with Adobe Suite

Timely processing and delivery of weekly research findings

Exceptional communication and presentation skills

Willing to work hard and do a lot of leg work

Possess MS Excel skills – Pivot Tables, V- & H-Lookup, etc.

Very good communication skills (both verbal and written with knowledge of Spanish and/or French is a plus.
