Our Marketing professionals are key partners in deepening potential and existing customer relationships. Our Marketing department serves others with hard work, honest business practices, and a deep commitment to the communities we serve.

We are currently seeking to hire a Marketing Communication Specialist. In this role, you will extend the Veritex Community Bank brand and voice in various forms of communication. You will be responsible for all internal and external communication and assist marketing managers on media buys that include media interviews and advertorials.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Internal & external communications (staff memos, quarterly newsletters, press releases, executive communication, and customer communication)

Establish and maintain relationships with journalists to secure extensive press coverage

Track and report press coverage

Research, write, and edit press materials needed for media outreach

Provide communications and support for special projects and initiatives

Assist in commercial copy writing

Track and report email campaign results

Writing, designing and analyzing surveys to employees and customers

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public relations, Advertising, or related communications field

2-5 years’ experience copywriting or public relations experience

Knowledge of email marketing writing and design

Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidential information are absolutely essential.

Superior writing, editing, and storytelling skills

Strong communication skills (oral and written)

Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding bank and customer related information

High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office

Some knowledge of Mail Chimp.  Preferred but not required.

Some knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft Stream Video. Preferred but not required.

Some knowledge of design programs such as Canva or Adobe Suite. Design skills are preferred

Some knowledge of Survey Monkey is preferred
