We are currently seeking to hire a Marketing Communications Lead to become an integral member of the marketing and communications team, focusing on meaningful relationships and a deep-rooted business understanding to develop and deliver imaginative, impactful, tailored and timely content in support of internal and external regional campaigns. As a communications and marketing business partner to the regional leadership team, you will plan and deliver clear and engaging marketing and communications that will support growth of Wood’s business in Operations Americas. This role demands a highly motivated, strategic and engaging individual that has a clear and knowledgeable understanding of stakeholders and channels and can develop and deliver compelling internal and external marketing and communications content.

Working as part of a wider marcom team, you will engage with peers globally to support the successful and tailored delivery of campaigns across Wood. You will also be responsible for developing, maintaining and measuring the effect of external communications, marketing and internal communications and engagement activities within the region. In addition, you will drive a targeted and measured approach to a broad range of stakeholders including clients, media, government and industry bodies and employees. The selected candidate will deliver compelling internal and external stories, differentiated and dynamic content and play a key role in building, safeguarding and enhancing Wood’s reputation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Focuses strongly on the development and delivery of strategic marketing and communications solutions in support of regional business objectives

Takes complex, technical topics and turns them into compelling content

Identifies and develops compelling, relevant stories from around the business consistently

Promotes increased employee engagement and communications within the region through the delivery of impactful internal campaigns

Supports the co-ordination and timing of regional internal and external marcom campaigns

Delivers key marketing projects and events with creativity, precision and measurable results

Facilitates and coordinates participation and engagement at relevant tradeshows, conferences and other client related events to enhance and increase brand awareness

Ensures timely delivery of projects – takes responsibility for personal deadlines, contribution and expectations

Identifies and seeks opportunities to enhance Wood’s regional reputation through positive coverage in selected traditional as well as digital and social media

Supports the management of regional reputational issues and supports the emergency response process

Works as part of a global marcom function ensuring alignment, efficiency and innovation

Acts as a communications business partner between the Operations Americas Business Group and the marketing and communications function

Ownership of projects, events and campaigns

REQUIREMENTS:

Exceptional written and verbal communications skills (proofreading and editing capability)

Understands acutely the relevant business sectors and can create crisp content marketing material and establish opportunities to position Wood and its leaders as an authoritative commentator

Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to influence the planning, design and delivery of market and communications content that is both fit for purpose and inspiring

Able to make decisions about content creation and direction

Ability to influence regional marcom activity

University degree or equivalent in a marketing, communications or related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in a communications and/or marketing role, preferably within the energy industry but not critical

Associated experience in agency, journalism, copy writing deemed equivalent

Knowledge of communication methods and channels relevant to a large, complex organization, with demonstrable experience using a multi-channel strategy

Knowledge of market and industry issues and trends

Clear understanding of reputational risk and appropriate mitigations and response

Content development, creative writing, concept development and examples of published work

Experience in campaign delivery and measurement

Event planning and delivery

Highly creative thinker and problem solver with a keen eye for detail

Excellent presenter and persuader

Enthusiasm, can-do attitude and energy

Good organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and take responsibility for project delivery

Team player with the ability to guide and influence with excellent articulation skills

Capable of time and priority management, and ability to work under pressure

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with large section of the business and influence decision making and direction

Able to write impeccable content
