Texas Bay Credit Union (TBCU) is currently seeking to hire a Marketing & Communications Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for internal and external communications projects including newsletters, emails, radio/ video copy, and digital content creation and distribution. In addition, you will develop new and innovative ideas, producing pieces for all of our marketing channels. You will have a dynamic personality, be creative, experienced in managing a wide range of tasks, well organized, dependable, trustworthy, detail-oriented, flexible, and enjoy the challenges of supporting multiple projects and branches. The selected candidate will be able to function effectively in a variety of duties under minimal supervision. Being bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus for consideration.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Write and edit copy across all channels that may include collateral materials such as flyers, newsletters, brochures, blogs, emails, website, etc., with accuracy and consistency

Create copy in conjunction with the Marketing & Graphic Design Specialist for all social media posts. Manage content to all mainstream social media sites accounts

Maintain website content and ensure that all content reflects promotions, product, service, rate and changes that accurately follows the brand design established by the Credit Union

Manage the copy on all digital marketing assets (outdoor digital signage, lobby displays, etc.)

Collaborate with content experts, product and industry experts to produce relevant content for all marketing purposes

Create, compose, and edit internal and external correspondences

Review analytics to understand how the content is being received by the market and ways to improve content strategies and tactics

Conduct competitor and industry research to ensure content is timely, relevant, and on par with market needs

Manage online reputation by responding and managing reviews received on social media sites, Google My Business, Trustpilot, Yelp, etc. (coordinate with branches to support this effort)

Manage marketing communications on TBCU intranet site, including proficient utilization of administrative tools to ensure it is up-to date and accurately follows the brand design established by the Credit Union

Implement with team all marketing efforts and support community and business development projects

Review communications for regulatory compliance as it relates to advertising promotions on all marketing communications

Continuously evaluate and revise our current marketing processes to insure all materials reflect the highest level of quality and accuracy

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum high school diploma, however 2 or 4-year degree preferred

3+ years of professional writing experience, especially with digital platforms

Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience and a demonstrated record of accomplishment in marketing is preferred

Excellent grammar and writing skills

Expert with Microsoft Office

Ability to interpret regulations and laws and disseminate information

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Critical thinking skills

Capable of communicating clearly through written and oral forms

Self-motivated and a quick learner

Capable of making sound judgments and decisions independently

Experience with Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok

Enthusiasm for brainstorming, ideation, and concept creation in collaboration with a core team

Superior creative and technical writing, proofreading, and editing skills

Ability to take ownership and prioritize tasks, and efficiently complete tasks in a fast-paced environment

Excellent member service skills
