We are currently seeking to hire a Marketing Communications Specialist. In this role, you will support the creation and execution of marketing communication plans and tactics for the businesses while collaborating with other public affair segments. In addition, you will be responsible for working closely with internal stakeholders to develop marketing communications plans and materials which could include elements such as sales materials, messaging, literature, advertisements, newsletters, content for trade shows, and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support integrated marketing communications plans and strategic messaging

Help develop materials and other content for various marketing communication tools that deliver key messages in a compelling, concise manner

Manages projects from start to finish with client and cross departmental interaction

Assist in the research and writing of annual Marketing Communication Plans

Develop effective messaging for marketing literature, product advertisements and customer newsletters

Assist in the coordination of tradeshows and conferences including message and graphics creation, literature requests and booth logistics in order to gain a basic understanding of event coordination

Participate in initiative to revise current content and produce new content for use on LYB.com

Help transition analog material to the digital world

Research trade media plans for article and advertising opportunities and competitive intelligence

Leads the coordination of advertising (media identification, content development, booking) for the business

Help develop new content. Coordinates with other contributors to ensure consistency in style, tone, and quality (ensures that all materials meet established content and brand standards)

Liaise with graphic designers to influence and guide the creative direction

Assess and keep abreast of emerging best practices in communication, including competitor research to determine latest trends and strategy

Research to include new products on the market, communication strategy and marketing vehicles (trade ads, email campaigns, etc.)

Proofreads Marketing Communication materials and enhances presentations intended for mass audience consumption (webinars, conferences, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS:

Four-year college degree (Marketing, Communications, Journalism or Public Relations)

Minimum of five years of related experience

Excellent English writing/editing capabilities and familiarity with AP Style

Experience in producing effective written internal and external communications for brochures, advertisements, electronic newsletters, websites, etc.;

Advanced level of technical skill including an above-average working knowledge of the following software and platforms: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel; Salesforce; Adobe Acrobat Pro; and Adobe Illustrator

Being agile, flexible and available in an unclear working environment

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, coordinate approvals/production and meet project deadlines

Strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor and service orientation

Ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization

Able to travel occasionally

Petrochemical, oil/gas, polymer industry experience is a plus
