Bike Barn was first opened in 1983 in Clear Lake and has been owned by the same two individuals since 2003.

We are currently seeking to hire a Marketing Events Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for the promotion of Bike Barn through the planning, promotion, and execution of events and races. You will also assist in managing the Bike Barn brand through execution of promotional materials including emails, newsletters, social media and other forms of marketing. The salary range is $35,000-$45,000 and is commensurate with experience. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Management of Bike Barn Events & Races

Planning, promotion, and execution of internal and external company events (these may include store events as well as outside events such as rides and races)

Coordination, management, and supervision of all vendors and staffing for events.

Annual Event / Ride Calendar

Manage annual event calendar for races, rides, and store events with promotional plan

Manage details of each event and be able to communicate internally and externally to have appropriate resources included in execution

BP MS 150

Organize team logistics, communication, and events

Work with all vendors to secure team meals, luggage transportation, tents, drinks, etc.

Representative of Bike Barn at MS150 functions

Bike Barn Races

Including but not limited to Houston Grand Criterium, Memorial Park Criterium, and Huntsville State Classic

Organization, logistics, and promotion; ensuring these are premier races

Interface with TXBRA and USAC with regards to these races

Social Media & Email Marketing

Assist in social media plans and execution

Assist in database maintenance and content creation

Creating monthly newsletter

REQUIREMENTS:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Understands and follow oral and written instructions (communicates clearly)

Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks

Strong understanding of social media and its use in retail business and events promotion

Ability to learn and utilize Bike Barn systems

Great attention to detail and accuracy

Proficient in use of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing is preferred

3-5 years of marketing or event coordinating experience.

Good driving record.

Experience in race & team management is a plus

Bike mechanical skills are a plus

Ability to move or handle merchandise generally weighing up to 50 pounds (will be responsible for loading/unloading event supplies and equipment)

Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates, including weekends

Able to sit and stand for extensive time periods; while occasionally walking, kneeling, or reaching
