The Woodlands Resort is located in the award-winning master planned community of The Woodlands, Texas 45 minutes north of Houston. The hotel features 402 guestrooms, concierge floors and 60,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. The area around the hotel is home to multiple Fortune 500 companies, The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, shopping, dining and entertainment venues.

We are currently seeking to hire a Marketing Manager. In this role, you will assist the Area Director of Marketing with the development and management of marketing programs and initiatives of our hospitality operations in The Woodlands to drive lodging occupancy as well as revenue streams associated with hotels, restaurants, spa and meeting and leisure facilities with a focus on The Woodlands Resort and Westin in The Woodlands.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in the creation and implement annual and ongoing marketing and media plans for the hotels, spa, and restaurants, both internally and externally

Manage the advertising, digital marketing, website, social media and public relation agencies

Assist in planning and placing all advertising

Assist in the creation and management of all spa, restaurant and resort marketing materials, collateral development and advertising

Manage workflow for marketing coordinator, graphic designer and vendors

Assist public relations agency with press releases on special achievements, activities or events that relate to the resort, spa, and restaurants

Interface and strategize with the food & beverage team to promote individual branding and increase local and Resort guest usage especially for Robard’s Steakhouse, Sorriso Modern Italian Kitchen and Como Social Club

Develop content for social media and websites

Assist in the execution of media events and promotions including social influencer visits

Assist in planning, promotion and coordinating special events including but not limited to guest appreciation events, holiday/seasonal events, and outdoor activities

Assist in preparation of sales and marketing expense budgets

Support sales and catering teams with appropriate collateral and marketing materials

Attend revenue and manager meetings and help communicate strategies, tactics and measurable results

Update various websites with marketing messages

Work with Area Director of Marketing, Operations and F&B Operations to disseminate and integrate cross marketing opportunities

Maintain monthly reporting for marketing activities across all assets

REQUIREMENTS:

Five years of marketing work experience; preferably in hospitality

Proficient knowledge of print and digital production

Proficient knowledge of social media marketing

Proficient knowledge of digital marketing including SEO, PPC and Remarketing

Experience in managing development of websites specifically on WordPress platform

Understanding fundamentals of both B2B and B2C marketing

Data driven – understanding numbers, ROI and reporting

High degree of organization, attention to details and level of professional conduct

Self-starter, ambitious and multi-tasker

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, additional language ability is a plus

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

Creative and graphic skills, are desirable

Strong analytical skills

Previous supervisory experience

Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in marketing, business and/or communications is preferred
