JFS Houston is currently seeking to hire a Marketing Manager. In this role, you will manage projects and timely execution of marketing objectives, strategies, and brand policies for agency wide promotion, which clearly articulate our mission, impact, and services to various internal and external constituencies. In addition, you will oversee scheduling and execution of multiple channels, including written, digital, photographic, video, social media, with oversite of analytics and internal/external marketing resources. This is an on-site full-time role and a small percentage of remote work may be permitted after the first year of employment. The selected candidate will report to the Chief Development Officer.


Ensure Website Maintenance and Implement Analytic Evaluation

Oversee Graphic Design projects and ensure material updated regularly

Manage social media calendar, including emails and monthly newsletter

Manage calendar for writing/PR projects for articles, ads, email, social media, and printed materials, including management of scripts for agency events, videos and photography shoots

Serve as the internal manager and brand enforcer for JFS Houston’s departmental marketing needs

Create communication segmentation strategies and materials for key stakeholder groups

Understand and implement marketing initiatives, concepts, guidelines, strategic positioning, and target audience and strategies from concept to final execution within deadlines

Identify new opportunities for promoting JFS through public relations

Provide organized knowledge transfer and storage of marketing materials

Ensure accessibility standards of all marketing materials

Manage workflow with internal talent and outside marketing vendors

Positive interaction with the development/marketing team and refined customer service skills in servicing the various departments of the agency


Bachelor’s degree or minimum of four years in the non-profit or communications/marketing/public relations sector

Proficient in Microsoft Office

High level of organization skills

Creative, consumer service oriented, and excellent communication skills verbally, in writing, and graphically

Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced positive team environment while managing multiple projects; displays flexibility through multiple revisions and changing priorities, while maintaining project timelines and deadlines

Self-motivated, professional, detail oriented, and excellent time management skills

Minimum three years in related work

One of the following qualifications required (2 of 3 preferred): Proficiency in InDesign OR; Proficiency in Advanced Social Media Management OR; Experience in copywriting and writing for scripts, articles, PR

Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 is preferred

Proficient knowledge of social media trends, website analysis, and use of social media scheduling; understanding of media relations is preferred

Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, Sketch, and other graphic design software is preferred

Photography, CRM platform (Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT is preferred)

Experience with Constant Contact, Canva, and Webflow is preferred
