Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union is currently seeking to hire a Marketing Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of the marketing plan for our credit union.  In addition, you will perform a variety of creative and support duties related to the marketing function within the credit union.  Provides coaching and development to assigned department staff.


Provide direction, training, and management to all assigned staff, ensuring active and on-going coaching and development

Write and conducts performance appraisals and identify training needs 

Oversee assigned staff as it relates to marketing activities

Maintain communication and coordinate activities with other departments

Create and/or review letters, direct mail, press releases, collateral materials, forms etc., prior to publication 

Coordinate special events, direct marketing, advertising and promotions

Monitor planning, schedule and implementation as required for proper execution of each event including facilities and meeting logistics  

Coordinate the credit union volunteer program (includes tracking of employee participation and hours worked)

Maintain relationships with schools in the approved field of membership and chamber of commerce groups where affiliated 

Supervise the activities of subordinate personnel and ensure that all promotional activities are performed professionally

Ensure that all marketing and public relations materials comply with State and Federal rules and regulations for the credit union

Keep abreast in changing rules and regulations 

Assist in analyzing market trends and demographic data concerning members and potential members, products and services, and potential products and services 

Keep abreast of changing trends in the marketplace so that BVSCU may react quickly and competitively 

Assist in conducting analysis to determine the effectiveness of each marketing campaign and report key findings to stakeholders

Maintain communication with outside vendors in regard to marketing

Interview and recommend new hires, promotions, transfers and salary adjustments

Review and approve time off requests 

Work with Chief Member Experience Officer to develop and implement the Marketing plan and budget

Public speaking representative for events of all sizes (up to 200+) representing the Credit Union

Grow new leads, and build rapport and maintain current relationships

Coordinate website updates

Respond to marketing audits

Assist MDR’s with events/serves as back up MDR 

Create quarterly Board of Director updates

Provide marketing for all digital avenues (i.e. InLighten, Alkami, marketing email, ATM, drive thru screen, social media)

Manage Google reviews

Develop and implement member surveys regarding credit union products and services, potential products and services, quality of service, and other
