Empire Communities is currently seeking to hire a Marketing Manager. In this role, you will report to the Senior Marketing Manager. You will be responsible for the execution of marketing programs as it specifically relates to the branding, launch and maintenance of residential developments and homebuilding operations in the Austin market. The selected candidate will possess strong writing and communication skills and have an ability to edit and proof marketing documents and collateral. In addition, you will be very detail oriented and an expedient executer with a strong ability to create critical paths and manage deadlines. You will have experience managing social campaigns and content marketing strategies is a plus. You will be involved in all aspects of our busy project launch planning and marketing strategies for the Austin market in the Homebuilding Division.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Marketing Campaigns:

Assist in the execution of all community marketing strategies/campaigns

Work with the Head Office (Toronto) marketing team to create marketing ads, brochures, floorplans, direct mail pieces, signage, etc. (will be involved in the creative process including gathering comments and feedback and working through rounds of edits)

Edit and proof all marketing copy on ads, brochures and other marketing collateral before sign-off for final production

Occasionally write spot copy for newsletters, ads and other communication pieces

Involved, share ideas and provide creative thought in planning sessions for content marketing campaigns

Coordinate additional runs of marketing collateral including inventory management

Manage the marketing library so it is organized and accessible

Coordinate RFP’s including award submissions as required

Develop, implement and manage ongoing realtor campaign

Event management:

Assist with all event planning and coordination in collaboration with our PR consultant and internal marketing team

Coordinate all event logistics including space planning, food and beverage, décor, event attendees/RSVP list

Liaise with the sales team to ensure clear communication, event agenda/schedule, and responsibilities

Manage the event budget with final approval from the Marketing Manager

Attend events as required and will be the on-site contact for direction and coordination of vendors

Signage:

Directing signage vendors as required in the production, placement, installation, and dismantling of all signage

Communications/Media:

Stay current with media opportunities, building relationships with media reps, having a clear understanding of distribution, impressions, reach, target market and rates of various media sources

Research and recommend new media opportunities

Develop relationships with key third party development partners and competing builder marketing personnel

Assist sales team in developing CRM templates

Online:

Create an online website audit process ensuring accuracy of our online presence

Occasionally assisting with the monitoring of our various social channels

Perform Social Media functions including writing blogs, interactive with consumers, adding content to social media platforms

Results and Research:

Monitoring industry trends and completing competitive shops as required

Assisting with research projects, including quantitative studies and surveys as well as focus groups or primary research

Budgeting:

Coding, processing and tracking of all invoices according to established guidelines

Managing and organizing all marketing related estimates, expenditures and in process payments

Miscellaneous:

Assist the Digital Designers and Content Strategist in ensuring all internal and external documents and marketing comply with our consistent brand image following our Master Brand Guidelines

Coordinate photography scouting, casting and scheduling as required

Record and distribute meeting minutes on a weekly basis

Manage the model home decoration process

Serve as primary contact for third party design center representatives

Assist in the selection and approval of model home and inventory selections

Provide marketing support for business to business presentations

May need to work weekends when required, however minimal

REQUIREMENTS:

2 years of marketing experience, preferably in the Real Estate Development industry

Completed a Diploma or Degree in marketing, business, and event planning or similar

Possess strong writing, language and communication skills. Experience editing, marketing copy writing and proofing an asset

Strong computer application skills with proven proficiency in MS Office

Asana, Hubspot, and/or Salesforce are a plus

Technical aptitude to learn new or customized programs quickly

Previous experience with Adobe Creative Suite (primarily InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) is an asset

Passion for marketing, real estate, and digital

Experience using Social Media platforms in a professional setting is an asset

Exceptional verbal and written business communication skills

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, timelines and budgets

Ability to manage multiple agencies, consultants, suppliers, projects and deadlines

Self-starter with a high-energy personality who thrives in a dynamic environment

Valid Driver's License
