Marketing aligns closely with the commercial organization to increase awareness of the McDermott brand, product lines and services among target customers. The Marketing Specialist will support the development of marketing strategies and campaigns, and is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring the company’s presence on social media.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop social media campaigns that build awareness of brand, products and services

Collaborate with internal functions to develop social media campaigns and content

Generate and produce weekly/monthly social media editorial calendar

Monitor user engagement and comments across social media platforms

Moderate comments on social media in accordance with internal policies and procedures

Measure success of social media campaigns and generate reports that demonstrate key performance indicators

Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies

Research opportunities for new social marketing platforms and adapt current strategy as required

Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop marketing campaigns

Submit and track projects through internal creative process to ensure timely completion

Work with internal designers to develop graphics that are appealing and brand compliant

Collect data, content and photography to support development of marketing materials

Support marketing efforts of the commercial organization through the development of brochures, handouts, PowerPoint presentations, etc. as necessary

Develop exhibit messaging and materials for trade shows, conferences and events

Update existing marketing materials to ensure accuracy and brand compliance

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related discipline

3+ years of experience in a marketing and/or communications role

Extensive knowledge of social media channels (ie: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)

Familiarity with social media management software (ie: Sprout Social) and tools

Track record of managing projects to completion and working with cross-functional teams

Excellent technical understanding and can learn new hardware and software quickly

Strong project management or organizational skills

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

Basic understanding of Photoshop is a plus

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
