KSBJ is currently seeking to hire a NGEN Social Media Specialist. In this role, you will serve as a member of the Marketing team and report directly to the Marketing Communication Manager. The selected candidate will be an online storyteller with a passion for connecting with people in a digital community. You will be responsible for building new and cultivating existing relationships with the NGEN audience through daily management of NGEN digital media channels and engaging the listener in discussions that connect them with God, NGEN, artists, the community and each other.


Maintain and update all NGEN social media sites.

Manage integrity and daily content of NGEN social media channels using the NGEN voice, social media and brand standards.

Monitor and manage daily listener interaction on social media channels, conveying a sense of community with the listener and building a following based on creating valuable content and mutual sharing.

Maintain balance in the type of content distributed on NGEN social media channels to ensure a holistic representation of the ministry messaging and efforts.

Manage publishing calendar across all social channels to help identify wins and created strategy.

Recommend and apply relevant social media techniques, processes and tools to improve overall growth, deeper engagement and improve efficiency.

Use authentic creativity to drive strong engagement and organic growth of all social media channels.

Help cultivate and expand relationships with listeners, influencers and artists using NGEN’s social media platforms.

Create compelling graphics and video to be posted on NGEN social media platforms to further engage with the listener.

Lead content creation for NGEN social media channels ensuring alignment with NGEN on-air and ministry messaging.

Maintain the visual brand standards of the KSBJ ministry umbrella.

Ensure standards are being met with Instagram Live and Instagram stories.

Monitor and manage jock involvement with all social media channels.

Assist with photo and video capture at ministry concerts, NGEN In The City events and in studio activities, such as artist and influencer appearances, etc.

Assist with Facebook LIVE capture during artist and influencer appearances.

Assist with KSBJ social when the need arises. Examples include Sharathon, artist visits, etc.

Assist with execution of content strategy for NGENradio.com.

Assist with execution of video and photo needs for web, app and social media.

Compile social media and digital analytics for marketing analysis and ministry reports.


Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications or similar field is preferred

1-3 years of digital media experience, with proven results using Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms for a business or organization

Extensive experience with proven results using Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and other social medial platforms

Familiarity with HTML and WordPress preferred

Strong computer and technology skills including: Mac and PC proficiency; Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere; Familiarity with Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics and other web analytics tools; Knowledge of Adobe Audition and Pro Tools is a plus

Basic understanding of graphic design and video creation

Basic understanding of public relations and/or marketing

Basic Biblical understanding and the ability to communicate a Christian worldview through media

Strong creative writing and written communication skills including blogging, post captions and replying to comments

Strong verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Innovative, proactive, and detailed oriented

Able to demonstrate good judgement and discretion when dealing with sensitive topics

Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners

Able to manage multiple and simultaneous deadlines

Able to travel occasionally (as needed pertaining to support of on-air and promotions)

Able to work weekends occasionally (as needed pertaining to support of on-air and promotions)
