Chair King is currently seeking to hire a Paid Media Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing media on behalf of Chair King and Fortunoff Backyard Stores. The selected candidate will possess the skill set, desire, and motivation to help the companies drive market share both online and, in our brick, and mortar locations. Assists the Advertising Manager with planning and buying paid media strategies, managing budgets, and bids in both local and national arenas including but not limited to dynamic direct mail campaigns, programmatic digital campaigns, OTT/CTV, cable & linear television, streaming radio, digital out of home, and various other online outlets

Negotiates and forms relationships with media sales representatives to acquire cost-effective marketing placements

Traffics all advertising collateral to media partners

Performs ongoing campaign optimizations with the goal of increasing customer conversions

Researches new opportunities and evaluates existing media placements on a regular basis

Conducts post-buy analysis and reconciles invoices with all media to ensure our partners are delivering what’s contracted

Possesses extraordinary accountability traits to manage the overall marketing investments and budgets of both companies

Organizes and manages a reporting process with all media partners to help digest and interpret data that can be used for attribution analysis and predictive modeling for future media placements

Leverages first-party and third-party data for targeting and insights

Embraces research, understands evolving market and media trends, and is highly interested, concerned, and accountable to the role all media plays in the minds of our valued customers


Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning

3 to 5 years of related experience working with and owning paid media campaigns

Experience with demand-side platforms (DSPs) (e.g., Adelphic, Xandr/AppNexus, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP, DV360, Verizon, Amobee, MediaMath, etc.)

Minimum 1 year of Google Analytics experience

I year of Programmatic buying experience

Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials

Strong mathematical skills

Establishes priorities and has ability to work within a deadline-oriented environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently as well as within a team-oriented atmosphere

Willingness to contribute thinking and ideas that extend beyond media specific tasks

Past experience with Strata Buying Software and Nielsen Ratings Services is a plus

Comfortable with handling raw data and identifying trends

Able to read and comprehend advanced instructions, short correspondence, and memos

Ability to write advanced and/or professional correspondence

Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, vendor representatives, account executives, and other employees of the organization

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

Able to deep dive into reporting and measuring KPIs

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Able to take conceptual instruction and translate it into actionable tasks consistent with agreed-upon goals

Ability to think independently and figure out how to reach solutions to complex problems

Ability to perform and understand the functions of personal computers and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Capable of using a 10 key by touch

In-depth proficiency with the FROG system after a short training period
