Trinity University is currently seeking an experienced account service and communications strategist who can serve as a primary point of contact for key partners across campus. The selected candidate will serve as a liaison between our internal team and our clients – primarily the Office of Alumni Relations & Development. This role is also referred to as an Account Executive and is expected to perform a similar scope of responsibilities. This function is a critical addition as the campus is gearing up for its 150th celebration. This is part of a University brand campaign and a multi-year strategy designed to increase brand awareness for Trinity and strengthen its market position as a national liberal arts institution.

To be successful, you will need to showcase excellent communication and negotiation skills and be proactive to address clients’ needs and facilitate a project’s process from beginning to the end.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage key accounts, e.g., Alumni Relations & Development

Develop strategic marketing communications plans

Present creative materials, strategic plans, and performance metrics

Serve as the point of contact for clients

Organize and lead regular client meetings to discuss project requirements

Resolve problems and handle complaints in a timely manner

Ensure budget, time, and scope requirements are met

Establish best practices

Adhere to University brand standards, serving as a quality filter for projects

Monitor and report on performance analytics

Work collaboratively between the teams in the University and serve as an advocate for SCM

Suggest innovative ideas to increase project outcomes and improve customer experience

Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality

Complies with all of Trinity University policies and guidelines

Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Proven work experience as an account executive and strategist

Hands on experience with customer service and client relations

An ability to grasp client needs and be a creative problem-solver

Knowledge of project management tools and practices

Understanding and ability to articulate performance metrics

Excellent (written and verbal) communication and negotiation skills

Analytical and time-management skills

Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in project management and client relations

Experience in communications, advertising, or agency environment is preferred

College degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or relevant field
