ConocoPhillips is currently seeking to hire a Senior Advisor, International & Corporate Communications. In this role, you will be accountable for leading corporate communications for our global business units, including Alaska, Canada, Europe & North Africa and Asia Pacific & Middle East. You will also manage communications for the Global Technical Functions. Reporting to the Business Communications Director, you will work closely with global communicators and colleagues within the communications organization.  The selected candidate will demonstrate proficiency in areas such as external communications, media relations, project management, crisis response, leadership communications and employee engagement to ensure the communications support business priorities and align with the company’s strategy. In addition, you will be eligible for the voluntary hybrid office work (HOW) program that is designed to provide employees with flexibility while maintaining the advantages of in-person engagement.


Develop and execute communications across multiple internal and external channels, including news releases, Q&As, key messages, executive talking points, briefing documents, executive emails, speeches, town halls, social media content, video scripts and other materials

Anticipate and monitor industry and business issues to recommend, implement and measure communications strategies

Partner with functional leaders to drive internal and external communications strategies and plans that engage employees and promote understanding of the company’s strategy and values

Serve as the liaison between global communicators and international government affairs

Act as a member crisis response team; support global communicators during response efforts

Handle media inquiries, issue news releases and provide strategic counsel and support to senior leaders on external engagements, such as speeches, presentations, or fireside chats

Work with the Digital & Social Media team to develop and leverage content on internal and external channels

Manage complex communications issues to produce timely and measurable results

Collaborate with Media Relations & Crisis Communications, Government Affairs/Public

Policy/Sustainable Development Communications, Investor Relations, Community Relations, Digital & Social Media, Employee Communications and HR Communications to ensure consistent voice and messaging


Legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as a permanent resident, refugee or asylee

Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications, public relations or related discipline or foreign equivalent

10+ years of experience in communications, including employee, media, and crisis communications, preferably in an oil and gas environment

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Word

Basic proficiency with AP style
