ITW Global Brands is currently seeking to hire a Senior Marketing Communications Manager. In this role, you will support the development and implementation of successful account-specific marketing activities for key accounts (Walmart, AutoZone, Dollar General, Target, Home Depot, etc.) for all retail brands (Rain-X, Gumout, Black Magic, Fix-A-Flat, Slime, Permatex, Spray Nine & Fast Orange) within the ITW Global Brands U.S.-based retail channels. You will be accountable for delivering measurable ITWGB revenue and consistently delivering outstanding customer programs that (1) reinforce brand positioning; (2) deliver incremental sales by partnering with sales in the planning process; and (3) drive tangible market share and shelf position gains of growth brands and new items. The selected candidate will have a strong understanding of the retail marketplace and build strong relationships with key customers’ marketing groups.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, implement and track cross promotions and merchandising programs of account-specific marketing activities for key accounts for ITW Global Brands retail brands

Ensure all customer/promotional messages and programs are consistent with brand strategy and delivers against consumer/customer insights

Draw upon consumer insights, syndicated data mining, industry trends, and competitive activity to develop promotional strategies and tactics to maximize net sales growth while aligning with customer strategies to win

Own the channel MARCOM budgets and the ongoing ROI analysis to assess promotional effectiveness. Interpret data points to make sounds recommendations

Uses 360 approach whenever possible to drive the most out of every promotion. Including soliciting marketing support from our retailers

Proactively looks for opportunities to test new methods and tactics to support our brands and retailers

Maintain budgets and annual promotional calendar for assigned accounts

Work closely with Sales to consult on SD&A programming

Build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with our ‘80s’ retailer marketing departments through regular meetings/calls

Work closely with Brand and Sales to develop plans to support the successful sell-in of new items

Develop an understanding of the brand portfolios, competition and key competitive edges

Provide input to sales for line reviews

Maintain strong working relationship with Sales, Brand, NPD, supply chain, finance and outside suppliers

Perform analysis of proposed displays to determine revenue and variable margin targets. In addition, performs a post-analysis of promotions and displays to determine the success or failure, as well as future viability

REQUIREMENTS:

7+ years of Consumer/Customer Marketing, Sales and/or Marketing experience

4-year undergraduate degree in a Marketing or Sales discipline, MBA is preferred

Ability to demonstrate leadership through influence, aligns, motivates and leads internal and external cross-functional teams

Ability to transfer knowledge into effective business strategy and decision making

Excellent project manager, able to handle many activities and manage details that can help drive sales growth

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively interact and present to multiple levels of organization, including the AAMLT

Strong knowledge of retail marketing and merchandising tools

Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data

Skilled at identifying and leveraging a variety of insights to identify, develop & assess new opportunities.

Proven skills in building relationships & collaboration

Inquisitive, willing & able to challenge current ways of doing business and actively leverage knowledge and learning from trends, other categories, channels, countries and emerging technologies for inspiration

Demonstrate an understanding of company and customer financial metrics and key indicators

Conflict management and problem diagnostic and solving skills

Able to travel up to 15% of time
