The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County is currently seeking to hire a Website Content Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for content presentation and user experience on METRO’s enterprise website. You will develop and execute content management strategy to drive engagement across all METRO web properties. In addition, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and provide excellent customer service to address website content requests within brand guidelines. You will also use project management best practices to organize and prioritize tasks. The selected candidate will perform duties in a safe, efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable rules and safety procedures. The salary range for this role is: $85,866-$109,004.
The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, Texas has a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy for all employees. Provide primary managerial direction and perform personnel administrative functions of direct report staff (e.g., training, supervising, work assignments, timesheets, performance evaluations, etc.) for maintaining necessary staffing, enhancing productivity of staff, and ensuring necessary department outcomes are achieved
Project manager for all METRO web properties, with primary emphasis on RideMETRO.org enterprise website, to ensure quality control and timeliness of information presented
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to shape and grow B2C and B2B customer engagement across METRO’s web properties
Develop concise and targeted written content for the web, conceptualizing its presentation and layout to create a world-class, highly intuitive experience for users
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team of marketers to secure necessary assets for timely posting of information related to riding METRO and ensure website messaging and imagery is consistent with all marketing communications channels
Strategically optimize all content to increase organic search traffic and remain in compliance with accepted usability standards and web content accessibility guidelines
Provide creative direction for all web content-related requests to website content administrator, ensuring quality control through timely and accurate execution
Work closely with METRO I.T. department and serve as the primary point of contact for web-related vendors, determining resource requirements, prioritizing custom development needs, tracking project schedules, and managing contracts and associated expenses
Develop subject matter expertise for all web and content-related software programs in technology stack including but not limited to content management (e.g., Sitefinity), eCommerce, CRM, digital asset management, project management and analytics
Administer content updates and changes to METRO web properties as needed
Provide excellent customer service to METRO internal and external customers
Promote safety awareness and follow safety procedures in an effort to reduce or eliminate accidents
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
Minimum six (6) years of progressively responsible professional experience in digital and website marketing, with particular emphasis on corporate website management, digital content development, user experience design and composition, project management, creative direction for team members and vendors, and contract management
Three (3) years of experience as a supervisor/manager
Highly motivated and detail-oriented self-starter with excellent skills in copywriting, verbal communication, website content management and project management
Strategic understanding of user experience design and composition, and audience segmentation
Highly proficient in a Windows environment (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
Proficiency with content management systems (e.g., Sitefinity), CRM and digital communications software, digital asset management, and analytics software (e.g., Google Analytics, HotJar)
