Region 4 Education Service Center is currently seeking to hire a Communication Specialist. In this role, you will work collaboratively to develop and implement tactical communication strategies designed to increase the visibility of the organization’s efforts. The salary range for this role is: $68-$82K.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work collaboratively to develop and implement tactical communication strategies designed to increase the visibility of the organization’s work
- Work within a team environment to analyze, create, and maintain effective messaging in a timely and consistent manner
- Apply SWOT analysis, customer segmentation, and other data to the development of marketing plans that result in achieving department goals
- Develop, implement, and maintain social media strategy and content via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, linked In, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, and others as needed
- Collaborate with graphic designers and internal customers to produce quality communication materials
- Participate in marketing, planning, and executing center-wide conferences or special events
- Work with internal customers to resolve concerns and report issues to supervisor
- Manage calendar and meet deadlines for publications
- Contribute to the analysis of the effectiveness of the communications team’s efforts
- Provide technical assistance and services as specified by any applicable federal grant that funds this position
- Assist with other activities that support the communication team members to meet the organization’s communication and marketing goals, as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing, communications, English, journalism, or related field
- Five years related work experience in communication and marketing
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects, priorities, and meet deadlines with attention to detail
- Proficiency in a variety of software programs such as Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, Canva, and mass-email applications
