We are currently seeking to hire a Digital Product Manager for Windrock in The Woodlands. In this role, you will be responsible for product technical rollout, customer training, product break fixes, customer system interface setup, sales technical support, customer feedback and product enhancement, in-person, and remote customer support as needed. In addition, you will collaborate with business stakeholders to effectively define and deliver automation solutions. The selected candidate will have a solid background in modern technologies with a product mindset to advance the development of our digital automation solutions. You will be a key member of the team working side-by-side with product managers, business stakeholders, subject matter experts, developers, and engineers from discovery to delivery of digital solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the product team and business stakeholders to translate needs and requirements into functional specifications and user stories that are clearly defined with acceptance criteria for effective development
- Analyze customer and business requirements to understand and communicate the underlying intent
- Engage technical teams to deliver features with minimal ambiguity and clear acceptance criteria; include/exclude the right set of user stories to deliver the most impact
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that product requirements are implemented on time and within budget
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our automation and control products, including their technical architecture, interfaces, and functionality
- Drive the pace and quality of decisions on the software delivery team by identifying problems and gaps, facilitating decision making and guiding the delivery of high-quality solutions
- Under guidance from Product Management, facilitate prioritization activities including management of trade-offs between cost, schedule, and user benefit
- Work with Product Management and Development to identify tools and processes that improve effectiveness and efficiency of collaboration
- Keep abreast of emerging development and technology trends in the market
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors’ degree in the fields of computer science, information systems or engineering
- 5 years of experience in product management (PM, BA, PO) working with cross-functional teams delivering software/hardware solutions
- Demonstrated experience working successfully with cross-functional teams to deliver automation and control solutions
- Experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering and Software Development
- Proficiency with requirement elaboration and management techniques (e.g., user stories, story mapping) with demonstrated experience understanding and discussing technical designs and opportunities with technical team members and partners
- Ability to ask the right questions and turn the answers into software or hardware solutions
- Flexibility and adaptability to change course when new information presents itself
- Demonstrated ability to understand and explain issues from both a technical and a business functional point of view
- Openness to contradictory opinions and flexible in your thinking
- Willingness to jump into projects and complex environments to make sense of ambiguous details in multiple domains
- Strong organizational skills, comfortable in taking ownership, and able to work both on a team and independently as a hands-on individual contributor
- Strong facilitation, prioritization, and influencing skills
- Strong communication skills (listens and shares information)
- Able to travel up to 25%
- Familiarity with oil & gas, energy sector is preferred
- Reciprocating or turbo machinery experience and knowledge is preferred
