We are currently seeking a Marketing Director. In this role, you will be a visionary and you will drive our business development and marketing strategies to the next level. In addition, you will also collaborate closely with our partner and director group, leveraging our proven tools and methodologies while also bringing fresh insights to enhance continued success. The selected candidate will have a track record of achieving 20% annual growth over the past two years, and you will possess strong business development experience with a proven track record of driving growth, along with proficiency in marketing strategies and tactics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with partners to develop and maintain a top 10 target list for each service line, incorporating cross-geographical approaches to maximize market reach
  • Initiate outreach to prospective clients aligned with firm services, utilizing research, outreach, and CRM management
  • Leverage existing connections within the firm to engage decision makers and influencers
  • Lead the creation of compelling pitch and capabilities decks for initial prospect meetings
  • Collaborate with presentation teams to synthesize key “win themes” based on prospect research
  • Prepare data and discussion points for the seven monthly pipeline meetings for each practice niche using data from CRM
  • Meet with partners and others to ensure tasks & activities as part of the pursuit processes are being completed
  • Manage end-to-end proposal writing and submission for assurance, tax, consulting and advisory engagements
  • Supervise the production department’s proposal creation process, ensuring high-quality submissions (this also includes running the “go-no go” meeting using the firm template)
  • May contribute to proposal content as needed
  • In collaboration with the Managing Partner and Partner group, develop new approaches that will help the firm continue to grow and evolve its practices such as CAS 2.0, new service lines in assurance, tax, and consulting, and identifying traditional and nontraditional M&A targets
  • Provide guidance and coaching to the marketing and production teams to ensure smooth operations and growth
  • Ensure adherence to firm processes and reporting requirements, including timesheets and PTO reporting
  • Follow industry leading data and system security practices (as part of our compliance program)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree (Marketing, Public Relations, Communication or Journalism)
  • Minimum of 7 + years of experience
  • Marketing experience in professional services (ideally, marketing and business development experience specifically in public accounting)
  • Proven ability to train and motivate partners and professional staff to accomplish firm’s marketing goals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., CRM Dynamics, Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT, Teams)
  • Client Relationship Management (CRM) experience
  • Superior business writing, editing and proofreading abilities
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, will be critical as this role collaborates with various members of leadership in all service lines – assurance, tax, and consulting
  • Experience and familiarity with managing and planning strategy for social media accounts for an organization or business, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook etc.
  • Experience using Google Analytics and social media analytics tools and the ability to adjust strategies based on results
  • Experience and background in SEO strategy and best practices
  • Decision-making abilities, accuracy and thoroughness, promptness, and dependability
  • Ability to gain confidence with prospects, clients, referral sources, and firm leadership
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills (ability to get along well with diverse personalities; tactful and flexible. Projects a professional manner and bearing)
  • Result- and profit-oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations
  • Participative management style, advocate of team concept
  • Website management and maintenance: Basic knowledge of WordPress and experience managing and maintaining websites is a plus
  • Previous experience in public accounting with audit, tax and consulting services lines is highly preferred
