McDermott is expanding and advancing a robust, integrated marketing strategy and seeks an early-career team member who is passionate about all types of marketing to join our diverse team of communications and marketing professionals as a Marketing Specialist.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support and execute McDermott’s digital strategy, specifically via website and social media
  • Bring best practices and new ideas for McDermott’s social media presence
  • Manage routine website maintenance and nurture working relationships with website vendors
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to develop content for digital channels; manage review and approval process
  • Support and execute comprehensive brand and campaign strategies
  • Write compelling content for marketing materials, including ads, brochures, presentations, conference booths, etc.
  • Organize and execute global conferences and tradeshows
  • Support execution of large-scale, multi-faceted marketing projects
  • Collaborate with internal Creative team to develop global marketing collateral (brochures, presentations, etc.) in alignment with brand guidelines
  • Conduct market/competitor research to inform new marketing strategies
  • Support global and business line conference and tradeshow strategy
  • Conduct research and analysis to contribute to annual conference and tradeshow planning, including budgeting and resource allocation
  • Research and recommend strategic speaking opportunities for senior executives
  • Operate effectively in a deadline-driven environment
  • Remain aware of and provide recommendations on new marketing channels
  • Remain abreast company priorities and changes; adapt marketing strategies appropriately

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in B2B marketing, communications, or a similar role
  • Project management
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Experience with Website CMS
  • Experience with project management tools
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices and implementation, as well as Google Analytics
  • Working knowledge of Sprout Social
  • Strong understanding of social media KPIs
  • Solid business and technical acumen
