We are currently seeking to hire a Subscriptions Manager. In this role, you will serve as the main point of contact for subscribers and act as the manager on duty, supervising and training Guest Service Representatives, full-time and part-time personnel, to guarantee the best possible service for patrons. You will ensure that ticketing policies and procedures are fully understood by the front-line staff and that transactions within Tessitura (Alleys CRM) are being correctly processed. During shows, you will be the manager on duty and provide support to front of house operations. The selected candidate will report to the Associate Director of Ticketing and Guest Services and partner with the other Guest Services Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Suggest policy and procedural changes that will improve organizational implementation of customer service, maintain, and utilize patron data in constituent records, improve guest service, increase ticket inventory usage, and maximize ticket revenue
- Help to create written standard operating procedures for the team
- Alongside other managers, assist in building seasons and ticketed events in Tessitura
- Attend Tessitura team meetings in order to implement and track new policies and procedures related to customer service, sales and promotions, and patron attendance and constituent records
- Act as the primary contact for telemarketing and facilitate the seating of new subscribers
- Seat new board members in accordance with Development Department and manage the Board Liaison team
- Coordinate board hot line and concierge service provided by full time Guest Service Representatives
- Supervise the printing and compiling of the subscriber ticket packets
- Respond to customer complaints about season tickets, working with others in Guest Services and Marketing team to create appropriate written responses
- Hire new guest service representatives and trains new team members in collaboration with the manager team
- Motivate and coach employees to improve performance, provide feedback and training opportunities
- Process payroll for Guest Services team members
- Assist with performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
- Ensuring staff members follow company policies and procedures
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 3 years in a supervisory environment related to retail sales, such as big-box store, banking, or store management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, energized and quickly changing environment
- Tessitura experience strongly is preferred
- Experience working in a box office is strongly preferred
- Proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills
- Detail oriented, able to prioritize efficiently and multi-task
- Ability to be self-directed and take initiative
- Able to maintain confidential information
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Positive attitude with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of historical and institutional racism in the American theatre, or a commitment to learning, and to be a part of Alley Theatres efforts to be an anti-racist organization
