No matter where the pressure comes, driving change in digital marketing efforts can be challenging. On June 20, AMA Academy will provide you with the insight and tools to jump hurdles and effectively implement new and dynamic marketing efforts.

Chris FerrisChris Ferris // Vice President of Marketing, BubbleUp

Chris Ferris, PhD, is the Vice President of Marketing for BubbleUp, a Houston-based digital marketing agency. BubbleUp's clients include Celine Dion, Poison, Luke Bryan, Zac Brown Band, Memorial Hermann Health System, Covia Health, Service Corporation International, Margaritaville, Jimmy Buffett and Kiss.

Chris has a proven track record of driving organizations to embrace new digital technologies to meet evolving customer expectations. He has led successful marketing and customer engagement activities including branding, lead generation, public relations, digital marketing and social media.

Before joining BubbleUp in 2016, Chris was the Chief Marketing Officer for 2nd.MD, a healthcare technology startup. He has also run digital marketing and communications for Texas Children's Hospital and St. Luke's Episcopal Health System. His other previous professions include working in the communications department of the Office of Management and Budget in Washington, DC, and teaching at a public school in New Orleans through Teach for America. Chris has a Masters in Communication from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania and a PhD in Health Policy from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He has been married for almost 18 years and he has two children.



Eric MelchorEric Melchor, Director of Marketing, Spark Energy

Eric Melchor is a Marketing Executive who has worked for major agencies in New York and Europe and has experience implementing marketing strategies to achieve long term growth while meeting profitability targets for brands like American Express, Amgen, and Spark Energy where he is currently the Director of Marketing. In addition, Eric is the founder of Fly Movement - an innovative nonprofit he founded in 2014 that provides children an opportunity to reach a fitness goal using fitness trackers. His organization also recently helped launch Houston's first and only free kids' fun run.

Michelle LeBlancMichelle LeBlanc, Chief Marketing Strategist, BlueSky Marketing

A marketing strategist, Michelle guides her client companies through the vast array of marketing tools and choices to craft winning sales and marketing strategies that achieve their business goals.

Michelle has over 20 years of experience in marketing, both in business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing. With a marketing degree from the University of New Orleans and MBA from Tulane, Michelle brings to her clients a strong focus on strategic marketing.

Michelle is currently Immediate Past President of the American Marketing Association‘s Houston Chapter.

Aaron Eaves is the Director of Search Marketing for Houston digital agency, Marketing Refresh whose objective is helping small and medium-sized businesses market in
