Key Opportunities and Challenges Facing Every Marketer Today

New for the 2016-2017 year, the American Marketing Association Houston Chapter is proud to introduce AMA Houston Academy (formerly Special Interest Groups, or SIGs), a series of seven educational events that take a deeper look into the key opportunities and challenges facing every marketer today—B2B, B2C, agency to corporate, even sole proprietors and small businesses.

Each event will consist of a master level session where a keynote speaker, or panel of speakers, will present a bird's eye view and analysis of selected topics. Topics will cover everything from digital integration and audience targeting, to managing the ever dynamic job description of the modern marketer. Following each master level session, chapter members will be invited to participate in a hands-on workshop with the purpose of learning how to apply knowledge gained to their personal, day-to-day functions.

While AMA Houston SIGs in years past focused on the many different industry types represented in our chapter, the goal of AMA Houston Academy is to present information in a way that crosses traditional industry segments so that marketers from all company types, job titles, functions, and disciplines will be able to apply new knowledge presented during Academy events to their everyday jobs and broaden their personal skills.
