Feb 4, 2017social-media

It’s not too late to place your stakes in the 2017 Super Bowl! It’s easy for big brands with big money to make a hit, but in a world with social media there’s little excuse for even small companies not to participate in the race to go viral.

The year’s largest sporting event is on the AMA Houston doorstep, and with great advice from Hal Conick, staff writer for AMA’s magazine and e-newsletters, it’s a great time to get in the game. In his article, 5 Ways to Score on Super Bowl Sunday with Social Media, Conick writes, “With 78% of consumers engaging on social media during the game, Influence Central’s CEO believes creative brands have a shot at going viral.”

Here’s some advice Conick writes for going viral on Super Bowl Sunday:

Focus on Facebook and Twitter during the game
Parties are getting smaller for the 2017 Super Bowl, DeBroff [CEO and founder of Influence Central] says, as fans now have big screens at home and an instant ability to tap into an online party via social media. During the Super Bowl, fans look for real-time news on Twitter and their friends’ reactions on Facebook.

“When you realize the primary focus is going to be on Facebook and tweeting, it gives marketers a focus in advance,” DeBroff says, adding a possible example of posting branded picture every time a team scores a touchdown.
