Our Government Affairs and Public Policy organization is seeking a dynamic and versatile professional to join our team as a Strategy & Communications Project Manager. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Chief of Staff for Global Government Affairs, and you will focus on enhancing the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Government Affairs & Public Policy operations, while ensuring smooth and streamlined communication within the organization. The selected candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in operational management and corporate communication.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement internal communication strategies to ensure alignment and understanding of policy initiatives among employees
  • Craft engaging content, newsletters, briefing documents, and presentations for internal dissemination
  • Assist the Chief Public Policy Officer in drafting speeches, talking points, and presentations for various speaking engagements, conferences, and other public appearances
  • Develop and manage the social media strategy for policy-related initiatives
  • Create compelling content, oversee social media accounts, and monitor online conversations to enhance the organization’s presence and influence in the policy landscape
  • Coordinate with internal & external stakeholders to generate high-quality written and visual content, including articles, blog posts, videos, infographics, and other materials to effectively communicate complex policy issues to diverse audiences
  • Research and analyze industry trends, policy developments, and governmental affairs to provide valuable insights and recommendations
  • Research and find ways to incorporate new tools and technologies to streamline operational efficiencies
  • Analyze communication efforts and metrics to assess effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
  • Lead and manage strategic projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to objectives
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, set milestones, and monitor progress to achieve project goals effectively
  • Develop training programs and workshops to educate staff on new operational procedures and communication protocols
  • Develop and maintain strategy decks, templates, and other relevant materials to streamline processes and aid decision-making for key stakeholders
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing project statuses, findings, and recommendations for executive-level review
  • Drive operational excellence across the organization by developing and implementing strategies that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality
  • Conduct thorough analyses of current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and leading initiatives for process optimization

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Business, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory
  • Proven experience in both policy communications and strategy development
  • Proven experience (at least 4 years) in strategy development, project management, or consulting
  • Experience in government affairs, public policy, or a related field is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in legislative and regulatory issues that affect technology companies
  • Highly independent self-starter
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects with multiple stakeholders to a tight deadline
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively
  • Proficiency in creating presentations and reports using tools like Microsoft Office, Google Suite, or similar software
