It Doesn’t Matter Where You Are
The group memberships are not specific to each chapter, and cross geographical lines. For instance, if your company is headquartered in Houston, but a portion of your marketing team is based in California, the memberships will stay within the geographical territory of the individual team members.

How much does a membership cost?
Professional Membership is $149 annually and Student Memberships for full time students are $29 annually.
Group memberships are available for $119/per person annually.

Can I join only the local chapter?
No. You must be a member of the national organization in order to become a member of the local chapter.
Can I transfer my membership to a colleague?
No. AMA memberships are held by an individual and are non-transferable.
Can I transfer my AMA membership from one local chapter to another?
Yes. Contact AMA Customer Service at 1-800-262-1150 and tell them the chapter to which you are transferring.
Can I get a copy of the membership directory?
All members receive access to the national membership directory on AMA.org when they join.
How do I change my badge or membership contact information?
Changes to your contact information (e.g. company, title, address, e-mail address, etc.) can be made in three ways.
- Send an email noting your changes to email@example.com, including your first and last name, as well as the local chapter to which you belong.
- Contact AMA customer service at 800.262.1150.
Does the Houston chapter have a job bank?
Yes! Our job referral newsletter lists open positions in the Houston area. Companies may post open positions for a small fee. Anyone can sign up to receive the newsletter. Contact Robert Melvin, AMA Houston Job Referral Director at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Why am I not receiving emails?
You can subscribe to our regular emails by joining our mailing list in the red bar on our home page. If you are subscribed and are not receiving emails, be sure to include email@example.com in your address book or trusted contacts so that is it in your “safe sender” list. Many companies block html messages from coming through a firewall. If your IT department is blocking our emails, ask them to allow in emails from “mailchimp.com” (Delivery IPs: 184.108.40.206/20 or 220.127.116.11/18).
Why is my name not on your membership roster?
If you are a new member, or have recently submitted contact information changes, we may be waiting to receive your updated information from nationals. Recently expired memberships are removed from the roster.
