Hi, AMA Houston community! I’m Vlad Vidaeff, 2022–2023 AMA Houston president. It is an honor and a privilege to serve as your president this fiscal year. The AMA community has been a significant part of my life and I look forward to interacting with you all. Without our members, attendees, and sponsors, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. I am grateful to each and every one of you.
In addition to our monthly luncheons, happy hours, and Academies, we have a lot of exciting initiatives and programs planned for this year. One of those is the launch of the AMA Houston Rewards Program. As a way to reward you for your commitment and dedication to the AMA, you will accumulate points for things like attending events, referring a non-member to become a member, referring a new sponsor, and much, much more. These points can be redeemed for discounts on events, comped events, and prizes.
We also have put together the AMA Past Presidents Roundtable. This group is made up of past AMA Houston presidents. AMA Houston is fortunate to have a strong lineage of past presidents who have propelled the chapter forward and who have won Chapter Excellence Awards (CEAs). By connecting to the past, this group’s key insights will help the chapter maximize its impact.
Since the pandemic has forever changed the world we live in, we will be hosting hybrid events regularly for the first time in the chapter’s history. Houston is a large city (with terrible traffic!) so we want to provide the convenience and flexibility that our community yearns for by adapting to the times. That means that we will also be exploring new venues to host events. Stay tuned for that!
Connection envelops everything we’d like to achieve this year. We want to make a large chapter feel small. We want to increase opportunities for meaningful connections and networking. And we want to propel the chapter forward with fresh new initiatives.
Marketing Edge, our one-day conference, will cover the hottest topics in our industry with national-level speakers. AMA Gives Back will be putting on a Casino Night again after launching last fiscal year. And it’s going to be bigger than ever! And, of course, the largest award show in Texas, the Crystal Awards, will be back in full force this May.

Vlad Vidaeff serves on the board of AMA Houston as the president. He is the director of marketing & interim president at REI Network, a real estate investing firm. As a content creator, strategist, and leader, he specializes in areas of digital marketing including social media, email marketing, blogs, brand management, and web copy. With experience on both the agency and client side, Vlad has collaborated with companies in industries such as real estate, healthcare, retail, e-commerce, non-profit, hospitality, and professional services. He is an avid sports fan, a movie junkie, and a frequent live music goer.
